We purchase from Fresh Point and occasionally Sid Wainer. They source local grown produce and we should market this. I.E. Riverhouse Café Services, purchases fruits and vegetables (whenever possible) from small local farms/growers. We also try and support small local artisans by purchasing local honey, maple syrup, cheese, whenever possible.
For a minimal cost we could provide a fruit infused water i.e. cucumber, lime & mint, lemon, melon & basil, grapefruit & orange….We have glass beverage dispensers that we can use and it looks attractive and the younger generation loves the healthy alternative to sodas/juice.
Whenever possible Riverhouse will purchase sustainable and local fish and seafood.
Our chefs can integrate vegetarian options into the weekly menu. I.E. Eggplant Parmesan, Cashew Fried Rice, Pad Thai with Crispy Tofu, House Made Black Bean Burgers with Avocado Aioli on a Brioche Bun.
